The trade mark PROTEX® can only be used in relation to fibres, fabric and garments with the consent of Kaneka Corporation. Kaneka Corporation and its licensees are the only source of genuine Protex®/Kanekaron® fire-retardant fibres.
To obtain authorised PROTEX® goods, please contact Kaneka Corporation by email on fr@kanekaron.com.
Kaneka Corporation commenced legal proceedings against Future Garments Limited and others in the UK in respect of its registered trade marks for PROTEX® (UK trade mark number 1455980, Community trade mark number 003436193). That dispute has now been settled. Future Garments Limited and the other defendants acknowledge that only Kaneka Corporation can authorise the supply of goods under the mark PROTEX® or any confusingly similar sign. The terms of settlement are confidential.
This action was part of Kaneka Corporation’s trade mark enforcement programme. Kaneka Corporation will resolutely take legal action to protect its trade mark and patent rights, if and when appropriate.
