Price Revision of Impact Modifier and Processing Aid
―Kaneka increasing the price by 20 yen per kilogram for shipping on and after May 1―

Kaneka Corporation (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President: Mamoru Kadokura) is revising the sales price of the impact modifier (product name: Kane Ace B, Kane Ace M) and the processing aid (product name: Kane Ace PA). Specifically, 20 yen per kilogram to the current sales price will be increased for shipping on and after May 1.
Kane Ace B and Kane Ace PA are mainly used as the additives for PVC applications like building, pipes, and packaging. Kane Ace M is mainly used as the one for engineering plastics applications like automotive parts and electronic goods.
Due to tight supply-demand, the price of MMA (methyl methacrylate) monomer, one of the main raw materials, is sharply increasing. Also, other raw materials, logistics costs and utility costs are underlying upward trend.
Under these circumstances, Kaneka determined to implement the price increase in order to maintain stable supply.
