Kaneka Corporation (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President: Kazuhiko Fujii) will revise the sales price for vinyl chloride resin. For shipments on and after June 21, the current price will be raised by at least 15 JPY/kilogram. This will be applied to not only general-purpose vinyl chloride resin but also all types of specialized vinyl chloride resin, including vinyl chloride paste resin. May 28, 2024
Logistics costs, labor costs including outsourcing, raw material costs, and energy costs, etc. are rising. In addition, procurement and construction related costs for maintenance and preservation of facilities have continued to increase, putting significant pressure on business earnings.
Although Kaneka is endeavoring to improve costs, we have reached the limits of what we can do, therefore we have determined that this price revision is necessary for stable supply in the future.
