Kaneka Corporation (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President: Minoru Tanaka) has announced that its KANEKA Biodegradable Polymer Green Planet™ (hereinafter “Green Planet”) has been selected by S.T. CORPORATION (Headquarters: Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo; President & CEO: Yo Kozuki; hereinafter "S.T. ") for its "FAMILY Premium BIO POLYESTER ULTRATHIN GLOVE”. The gloves will be sold at supermarkets, drugstores, and home improvement retailers nationwide from February 27.February 8, 2024
Green Planet is a 100% biomass-derived biodegradable polymer developed by Kaneka based on our desire to provide environmentally friendly solutions that do not depend on petroleum resources. It has excellent biodegradability in a wide range of environments and decomposes easily into CO2 and water, both in soil and seawater, helping to address the environmental pollution problem caused by plastics.
S.T. is promoting the creation of environmentally friendly products through establishment of its own environmental evaluation criteria for raw materials (ingredients), packaging containers, and product design.
