Kaneka Corporation (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President: Minoru Tanaka) and Taisei Corporation (Headquarters: Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo; President: Yoshiro Aikawa), in collaboration with the Tokyo Bureau of Environment, will start power generation in April 2023 under the "Renewable Energy Visualization Model Project for Tokyo-owned Facilities (Building-integrated Photovoltaic [BIPV] Power Generation Equipment*1).March 30, 2023
This project aims to promote the use of renewable energy technology (BIPV Power Generation System), which is in the early stages of diffusion, in private facilities by installing it in Tokyo-owned facilities and making it "visible”. This time, we are using T-Green Multi Solar, a building-integrated photovoltaic power generation system, which was jointly developed by Kaneka and Taisei Corporation, and selected through a public contest.
The equipment that will start generating electricity is as follows.
1. Project name
Renewable Energy Visualization Model Project for Tokyo-Owned Facilities (BIPV Power Generation Equipment
2. Project Overview*2
(1) Installation status
a. Tokyo Big Sight (Tokyo International Exhibition Center)
b. Water and Green Museum (Okutama Mizu-to-Midori-no-Fureaikan)
(2) Overview of BIPV Power Generation Equipment
