Price Revision of Yeast Products

－ Price to be increased by 22 JPY/kilogram for shipments on and after November 1 －

Kaneka Corporation (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President: Minoru Tanaka) will increase the sales prices of Foods & Agris Solutions Vehicle yeast products by 22 JPY/kilogram (11 JPY per 500 g) for shipments on and after November 1.

We revised prices in July of this year but the price of syrup used as a medium when producing yeast has also risen sharply due to the worsening of the situation in Ukraine which has led to fewer exports from producing countries such as Russia and Ukraine. In addition, the cost of crude oil began rising last year, and the soaring cost has driven major increases in utility, packaging material, and logistics costs.

We have been working to improve profits, but we have reached the limit of what we can do ourselves and we have determined that this price revision is necessary.
