Kaneka Corporation (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President: Minoru Tanaka) will revise the sales price for modified silicon polymer (product names: Kaneka MS Polymer™ and Sylil™) due to price rises in raw materials. The price will rise by at least 30 yen per kilogram compared to the current price for shipping on and after December 1.
We revised prices in April and July of this year, but prices have continued to rise for domestic naphtha and it is forecast to exceed 60,000/KL in the near future. There have also been steep price increases in other major raw materials such as PPG (PolyPropylene Glycol) and PO (Polypropylene Oxide).
We have been working to improve profits by reducing costs but, due to price rises in raw materials, we have reached the limit of what we can do ourselves and we have determined that this price revision is unavoidable.
