Kaneka Signs Official Partnership Agreement with Kashima Antlers

Kaneka Corporation (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President: Minoru Tanaka) and Kashima Antlers F.C. Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Kashima-shi, Ibaraki; President: Fumiaki Koizumi) have signed an official partnership agreement.

 

Kashima Antlers is a professional soccer club based in Kashima-shi, Ibaraki, and five nearby cities, including Kamisu-shi, where our Kashima Manufacturing Site is located. This distinguished soccer club has won 20 titles, more than any other J.League team. Kaneka's ESG management and vision, "KANEKA thinks 'Wellness First'," empathized with the team, which decided to conclude this partnership agreement in order to collaborate with us in implementing solutions to social problems, such as promoting the use of KANEKA Biodegradable Polymer Green Planet™ ("Green Planet™"), a 100% plant-derived material that contributes to environmental conservation.

 

On October 23, when Kashima Antlers vs. FC Tokyo in the 33rd match of the Meiji Yasuda J1 League season, Kaneka's logo will make its first appearance on the left front hem of the team's uniform pants.

 

Furthermore, in conjunction with this agreement signing, Kaneka and Kashima Antlers have presented a joint vision for the future, "Kaneka and Kashima Antlers, working together to create a sustainable future." Led by this vision, together we will carry out various initiatives from the perspectives of the environment, health, and community symbiosis. Specifically, as part of our efforts to create a clean and sustainable society, starting with the 35th match of the Meiji Yasuda J1 League season, Kashima Antlers vs. Urawa Reds, on November 7, Green Planet™ straws and spoons will be given out to people buying food or drinks in the Kashima Soccer Stadium. In the future, we also plan to expand our use of Green Planet™ to the bags used in the stadium's merchandise booths and Antlers Official Shops.

 

As an official partner, we will offer our support for the further success of Kashima Antlers. We will use our supplements, such as Active form of coenzyme Q10, and our milk products, produced using recycling-oriented organic dairy farming, to contribute to the health of athletes, supports, and all consumers.
