Kane Ace B, FM and PA and Kaneka Telalloy are resins used for building materials, pipes and packaging materials made from PVC. Kane Ace M is used for vehicle interiors, exteriors and electronic equipment made from Polycarbonate and other engineering plastics.
The principal raw materials of MMA (methyl methacrylate) monomer and BA (butyl acrylate) monomer have seen sharp price increases due to tight supply and demand balance. There is also an underlying upward trend in the prices of other materials, such as BD (butadiene) monomer, as well as in logistics and utility costs.
Although Kaneka is endeavoring to improve business revenue, we have reached the limits of what we can do, we’ve determined that these price revisions are unavoidable for the sake of stable supplies in the future.
